The new Chat Sidebar is one of the worst things that happened to Facebook in the recent times. But that is my personal opinion and many of you might love it. If you do, you should stop reading this.
Because, in this post we are going to help you get rid of this ugly chat sidebar and go back to the old amazing chat box to see who's online.
For Google Chrome, there is an extension for doing that named Facebook Chat Sidebar Disabler which would not only disable the Chat Sidebar but also bring back the old Facebook Chat Box/Sidebar that only pops out when you want it to (when you Click on it) and does not stick in your Browser unless you want it to.
You can install the extension for Chrome here.
Firefox also has an add-on named FB Chat Sidebar Disabler which does the same thing. Install the add-on and get turn the new chat sidebar off.

The very same extension add-on is also available for Opera. Just install Facebook Chat Sidebar Disabler, restart your browser and you're done.
